The founding team

Adam Kessler

CEO & COFOUNDER

JD - WAYNE STATE LAW / MBA U OF MICHIGAN

A builder across regulated industries, Adam co-founded Civic Companies, helped scale J. Rieger and Co. into a nationally recognized brand, and founded LTD Capital Partners with a focus on healthcare financing and go-to-market execution. He spent over a decade as a practicing attorney before turning full-time to building companies in complex markets. He joined Zera Medical to apply that thesis where it matters most: removing friction between patients and life-saving preventive care.

Hannan Lis

CHAIRMAN & COFOUNDER

WW GROUP - 300 LOCATIONS / FIREBOLT GROUP

A serial entrepreneur, Hannan scaled the WW Group to 300 locations, 5,000 employees, and 2 million annual attendances before its sale to the parent company, then co-founded Firebolt Group, a Michigan-based international LED display manufacturer serving global brands across three continents. He came to Zera Medical after experiencing the ZeraFlow procedure firsthand in Israel in 2025 and immediately recognized its potential to redefine colorectal cancer screening worldwide.

Paul Boehms

COO & CFO

MBA - WHARTON / COO WARNER NORCROSS

An operator and financier, Paul currently serves as COO of Warner Norcross and Judd, a 250-attorney Michigan firm, where he has driven organizational scale and operational discipline. He holds a Wharton MBA with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management and is co-founder and CFO of Blackhawks Sports Club, a Troy, Michigan non-profit serving 650+ athletes. He joined Zera Medical to help remove the single biggest obstacle standing between patients and a procedure that saves lives.

Isaac Shani

BSC - U OF MICHIGAN / MBA - GEORGETOWN

A marketing executive with two decades building consumer brands at global scale, Isaac held senior roles including Head of Marketing for Prime Video International at Amazon, Director of Marketing for Microsoft's consumer division, and leadership positions at Expedia and American Airlines. He joined Zera Medical with a conviction that removing the barriers to colonoscopy screening is one of the highest-leverage things marketing can do for public health.

Benny Levin

CTO & COFOUNDER

BSC - TECHNICIAN / INVENTOR - ZERAFLOW / LONGAN MEDICAL

The inventor of ZeraFlow, Benny has spent more than three decades founding and leading medical device startups from initial concept through clinical trials, CE marking, FDA preparation, and commercialization. As CEO of Longan Medical and founder of Colonocenter Israel, which operated a clinical colonoscopy preparation service in partnership with one of Israel's major healthcare providers, he transformed an engineering idea into a validated clinical system with 500+ procedures and a peer-reviewed publication. He joined Zera Medical to bring that technology to the U.S. market and fundamentally change how patients experience colorectal cancer screening.
